Write to [email protected] and tell us what you were looking at when it went wrong. The bus stop code and the service number are usually enough for us to reproduce it.
Arrival times won't load
The app needs a connection to fetch times, and it will show the last times it received with a note saying so rather than pretending they are current. If it keeps failing on a good connection, LTA DataMall may be having an outage, which affects every Singapore bus app at once.
A Lock Screen countdown stopped moving
Live updates arrive by push. If notifications are off for Whenbus, the countdown on your Lock Screen freezes at whatever it last knew. Check Settings, then Whenbus, then Notifications on your iPhone. A watch the app could not confirm with our server says so on the banner and in the app, and Try now sends it again.
A countdown also ends on its own once its buses have gone, and iOS ends any Live Activity after eight hours. An ended watch shows Ended, and Start in the app's menu for that stop brings it back.
I swiped the Lock Screen banner away
Swiping the banner away stops that stop's countdown. Open the stop in Whenbus and tap Live to start it again.
Nearby stops are wrong or missing
The list follows the map, so it shows what is in view rather than what is closest to you in absolute terms. If it looks wrong, tap the locate control to recentre on yourself. Search by stop name, code, or road if you know where you are going but it is not on screen. If location is off, the app cannot sort by distance and says so.
Open a stop page in the app
Every stop page on whenbus.app can open in the Whenbus iPhone app when it is installed. Tap Open in Whenbus on the stop page, or open the same URL in Safari. If the app is not installed, the page keeps working in the browser with live arrival times.
